The inagural Woodlands BBQ Festival coming soon

The Woodlands’ Town Green Park will host the first BBQ Festival on September 25. The festival will feature unlimited samples from the 12 participating restaurants, including Goode Co. Barbeque, Spring Creek Barbeque, The Brisket House and Tin Roof B-B-Q. Country artists Jesse Raub Jr. and Clayton Gardner will also perform. General admission tickets cost $60 and VIP admission cost $120 for the event. You can find more information about the event here.

Wine and Food Week to be held June 6-12

Wine and Food Week, the 12th annual food and drink festival held in The Woodlands, will kick off on June 6 and continue through June 12 this year. Each year, Wine and Food Week serves as a celebration of great food and wine through a series food and drink-related events. This year's schedule features a diverse selection of activities, from the Wine Rendezvous Grand Tasting to the H-E-B Wine Walk, an always-popular event that allows customers to stroll along Market Street, sipping and tasting their way through the festival.

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion announces performing arts season lineup

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion has recently announced its performing arts season lineup for 2016, where guests will be able to enjoy the arts under the stars. This performing arts season will not only include ten performances by the Houston Symphony, but also the production of "Tosca" by the Houston Grand Opera. It will also feature two performances by the Houston Ballet, "The Sleeping Beauty" and "Romeo and Juliet," as well as the sing-a-long experience to "The Sound of Music." 

Houston Methodist Breast Care Center at The Woodlands now open

The new "spa-like" Houston Methodist Breast Care Center at The Woodlands recently opened, and the leading technology it houses holds promise for breast care in the Houston area. This new center, located adjacent to the Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital that is scheduled to open next year, was developed to create a nurturing and serence experience, and representatives say it as almost "spa-like." Although the center creates a relaxed environment, it houses 3-D mammography technology that uses tomosynthesis, or low-dose radiation.

The Westin Hotel on Waterway scheduled to open mid-February

Construction on the Westin Hotel on The Woodlands Waterway is coming to a close, as the hotel prepares to open near the middle of February. Featuring over 300 rooms and located in the heart of the Woodlands' business district, the hotel will be managed by both Howard Hughes Hospitality and The Woodlands Resort. Amenities will include a gym, pool, massage services, "CURRENT" restaurant, bar and even a Starbucks.

Home for the Holidays Sales Event

Market Street hosts summer concert series
