The 2013 Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Texas will be held Saturday, May 18, in The Woodlands.
Athletes will begin with a 2.4-mile swim in Lake Woodlands. The 112-mile bike course takes participants west through the scenic, rolling farmland of east Texas. The day ends with a 26.2-mile run taking place entirely within The Woodlands and concluding with a spectacular finish on Waterway Ave.
The pro start is set for 6:50 a.m. with a 7 a.m. start for age groups.
Water temperature is expected to be between 74-81 degrees for the swim. There are 50 qualifying age group slots to the 2013 Ironman World Championship in Kailua-Kona, HI., up for grabs at the 2013 Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Texas.
All spectators and athletes can park in the parking garages off of Lake Robbins Drive. Be prepared to pay the standard fee.
