AT&T activates new cell site in The Woodlands
As part of its continuing network investment to support growing demand for advanced mobile devices and applications, AT&T announced the activation of a new mobile Internet cell site serving The Woodlands that will enhance coverage for area residents and businesses near Grogans Mill Road to Woodlands Parkway and east to Richards Road. With mobile Internet speeds, AT&T customers can surf the Web, download files faster, and enjoy the very latest interactive mobile applications.
"Our goal is for our customers to have an extraordinary experience. As part of the The Woodlands community, we're always looking for new opportunities to provide enhanced coverage, and our investment in the local wireless network is just one way we're accomplishing that," said Dahna Hull, vice president and general manager of AT&T South Texas.
Harper's Preserve residents using AT&T service will benefit from this new site, since the community is located just minutes from The Woodlands area.
AT&T recently launched "Focus: Houston" which provides visitors a peek into AT&T's wireless network enhancements made since the beginning of the year. Enhancements include new cell sites, Internet speed upgrades, capacity upgrades and network connection upgrades. The site also provides a map of area AT&T stores, a map of area Wi-Fi hotspots, useful tips, a localized Twitter handle and device reviews.

Using the online tool, AT&T customers can measure coverage quality of coverage from a street address, intersection, ZIP code or even a landmark.
