The National Association of Music Merchants Foundation awarded Conroe Independent School District with the Best Communities for Music Education Award for the fourth consecutive year. The NAMM Foundation is a non-profit organization that is committed to the advancement of music education through active participation.

The BCME survey, established in 1999, is comprised of a nationwide search for communities who view music education as an essential part of a complete education and thus provide ready access to exemplary music education.
