Darling Homes Partners with HomeAid Houston to Support HomeAid Hero Program
Darling Homes recently presented a check to HomeAid Houston as a part of their employee-led, community outreach program – Darling Cares. Darling Homes was the city’s first homebuilder committing dedicated funds per each home sale to benefit the HomeAid Hero initiative that addresses smaller remodeling projects ranging from $25,000 to $50,000. Funds raised by partners, like Darling Homes, are awarded to qualified homeless care providers in Harris and the surrounding counties.
“Giving back to the communities in which we build is one of our company’s core values,” stated Shannon Vining, marketing director of Darling Homes. “As employees, we believe we have a responsibility and great opportunity to positively affect the lives of those less fortunate. We have seen the impact of our efforts first-hand through our engagement with HomeAid which made the presentation of a check for $3,080 to Bette Moser, Director of HomeAid, quite a thrill. We know this is the first of many checks from Darling Homes and look forward to seeing how HomeAid Houston applies these funds toward building dignified housing for those needing a little help and a lot of hope,” she concluded.
Darling Homes participates in a variety of programs supporting the welfare of communities in the Greater Houston Area. The company encourages employees to take an active role in the company’s outreach program referred to as Darling Cares. Darling Cares is an employee-led program identifying programs for employees to dedicate time, resources and effort to assist communities and make a difference in the lives of others.
