Feast of Artisans Farmers' Market extended into December
Summer’s heat can be brutal for vegetable growers. However, the mild temperatures of fall provide excellent conditions and local farmers realize a bountiful harvest of flavorful vegetables well into December. To allow shoppers to take advantage of the area’s growing season, The Woodlands Mall has extended the Feast of Artisans Farmers’ Market. The market will be held every Wednesday through December 19.
The Feast of Artisans Farmers’ Market, held from 4 to 8 p.m. through Wednesday, December 19, in The Courtyard at the shopping center, features area farmers and artisans selling seasonal local fruits and vegetables [conventional and sustainably grown], local honey, free-range chicken eggs, meats, artisan baked goods, Texas wines, Indian food, bath sundries, ceramics, filigree sterling silver jewelry, hot sauces and more. Vendors include: Bravado Spice; Surf Shack Soap; Edmonds Farm; Urban Owl Knittery; Georgia’s Farm to Market; Nisha’s Quick-n-Ezee Indian Food; Sugar Hill Farm; Theiss Market; The Happy Food Dance Bakery; Jackie’s Gourmet; ML Leather; Simple Roots Granola; The Herbal Goat; Urban Revelation; Scents of Soy; Retreat Hill Winery; Olmox; Zipote Ceramics and more.
The market is sponsored in part by LIPTON Iced Tea. LIPTON® PureLeaf™ bottled iced teas are now certified Rainforest Alliance, an independent organization that works with individuals, communities and companies whose livelihoods depend on the land to reduce environmental impacts and increase social and economic benefits.
The Feast of Artisan Farmers’ Market, spearheaded by Lorraine Richardson, is held every Wednesday in The Courtyard outside near Barnes & Noble. For more information or to apply to be a vendor, individuals should visit The Woodlands Mall website.
