The Woodlands Boys Choir recently won two awards for their performances at the Schlitterbahn Sound Waves Music Festival in New Braunfels. Woodlands Boys Choir Director Sherryl Pond said the group was honored to win both the “Superior Performance” and “Best in Class” awards. At the showcase event, groups of different performance methods and ages attend a weekend of competition. They perform in the morning or early afternoon, and then are free to enjoy the park the rest of the day. The choir, which is in its third year, is having open auditions throughout the summer. The group has three levels of choirs for boys ages 7 to 14.
