Montgomery County Food Bank Launches Stock the Sleigh Food Drive
The Montgomery County Food Bank just Kicked off their annual Stock the Sleigh food drive on November 1st. They will be accepting donations through December 3rd.
A recent news release disclosed that last year, The Montgomery County Food Bank raised over 70,000 pounds of groceries and food supplies, along with ample monetary donations from the community.
MCFB’s goal this year is to collect 100,000 pounds of food, to meet the increased demand during the holiday season.
All residents and organizations of Montgomery County are encouraged to participate in this year’s food drive. This includes schools, civic organizations, businesses, and families around our county.

Thee MCFB’s most-needed list of food items include:
- Pasta, rice, macaroni, and cheese
- Canned meat
- Canned vegetables (low sodium or no salt added)
- 100% fruit juices
- Peanut butter
- Dry or canned beans
- Hot and cold cereals
- Raisins
- Protein bars
- Granola bars
- Monetary donations ($1 provides 5 meals)
