New photos of ExxonMobil campus show construction progress
Work is progressing on the 385-acre ExxonMobil campus under construction just south of The Woodlands in Spring. Photos by commercial photographer Don Hoffman are now available online that depict several structures under construction, as well as roadways being cut through the campus. His work can be seen at www.donhoffman.net.
With the campus located about one-quarter mile from I-45 in Spring, bypassing motorists have only been able to see cranes above the treeline and no structures. The ExxonMobil campus is expected to open in 2014, with full occupancy expected by 2015.
The oil and gas giant initially announced that the campus would house about 8,000 workers who would be relocating from its Houston upstream office and chemical companies. However, earlier this year, ExxonMobil announced what had been long rumored, that about 2,000 employees would be relocating from its Fairfax, Va., office to the new campus.
The campus will include research laboratories, conference and training centers, a child care facilitiy, wellness center, office space and many other employee amenities.
