Dr. Pepper has chosen Oak Ridge High’s, Destiny Alfred, as one of the grand-prize recipients of their amazing Tuition Giveaway! Destiny plans to attend Texas Woman’s University to pursue her dreams of becoming a Cardiothoracic Surgeon. She wants to help others because she has had two open-heart surgeries and credits her life to the doctors who performed them.
 

Each year, Dr. Pepper grants over $1,000,000 in scholarship funds to encourage students to follow their dreams. Students create profiles and videos as their submissions to be considered for the prize. After combing through many submissions for this year’s giveaway, Dr. Pepper chose its finalists to “throw for the prize at a College Football Championship game.” 
 

Destiny Alfred won the throw at the PAC-12 Championship Game and was ecstatic to know that she was one step closer to achieving her dreams. Congratulations, Destiny!
