Despite recent news that the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo would be cancelled yet again due to the pandemic, three major spring events in The Woodlands remain on the calendar.
The Woodlands Marathon, The Waterway Arts Festival and Ironman Texas may look different than prior years, but event coordinators remain optimistic that these signature events will continue with implemented safety precautions.
Event organizers put so much time and energy to bring participants around the globe for these incredible community events. These events bring tens of thousands of visitors and millions of dollars to the local economy. Ironman alone brings an average of $13 million to our local economy as it attracts participants and spectators to local restaurants, hotels and businesses.
The Woodlands community is fortunate to have the opportunity to host these events that bring an economic boost while bringing joy to participants, spectators and volunteers.
