A simple movie is not what it used to be. These days movies include a comfy recliner, dinner and drinks! To that end, Star Cinema Grill will open a movie theater at 1495 Lake Plaza Drive, Spring, in CityPlace at Springwoods Village in 2019, the Patrinely development company announced Feb. 20. The Houston-based theater company offers guests the opportunity to eat and drink while attending a movie, with a full-service bar and dining menu. When it opens, the 1,400-seat, 10 screen theater will be Star Cinema Grill’s tenth location.

CityPlace is a 60-acre mixed-use development within Springwood Village, that consists of office, living, shopping and dining spaces. The American Bureau of Shipping will open its headquarters in this mixed-use development in late 2018. The Marriott CityPlace will also open later this year.
