The Woodlands Plans Drive-In Fireworks Display
After more than 30 seasons of patriotic celebrations in The Woodlands, the show must go on. Due to COVID-19, the Red, Hot, and Blue Festival & Fireworks will modify the celebratory events. The Woodlands Township is hosting a Drive-In Fourth of July Fireworks Show. The display, lasting approximately 30 minutes, will stream live on The Woodlands Township website and social media channels. Fireworks are scheduled to start around 9:30 p.m. on July 4th.
Typically, July 4th has been full of family fun events in The Woodlands that have unfortunately been cancelled this year. The Houston Symphony has typically kicked off celebrations with a Star Spangled Salute at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on July 3. Floats and marching bands would traditionally parade from Market Street on the morning of July 4th as families lined the streets to watch. Pre-fireworks festivities would include live music, entertainment and food trucks at The Red, Hot, and Blue Festival throughout the community. We are hopeful these traditions will return next year.
Come out and enjoy this years firework extravaganza!
