Has the annual YMCA Run Thru the Woods been a big part of your families Thanksgiving Day traditions? For 30 years, participants have joined The Woodland’s community in a spirited competition to run for a cause. Funds raised from this event benefit he YMCA’s Annual Campaign, which ensures everyone, regardless of age, income or background has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive at the YMCA.

The Shake Shack is opening soon in The Woodlands! The standalone restaurant at The Woodlands Mall’s renovated south courtyard has been a long time coming. Original plans included a late summer opening until construction slowed down during the pandemic.

Now looking to launch their opening in November, families have been eager to try out the fast-casual restaurant known for their delicious burgers, hot dogs, frozen custard, shakes, and more.

Plan a night out in The Woodlands! The Wine Walk at Market Street will be hosting their annual event on Thursday, November 12. Wine presentations will include the newest and most popular wines available.

Guests are required to make a reservation and groups are not to exceed a party of 10. In order to maintain social distancing, groups will rotate together throughout the available retail spaces. The booths will not be outside this year. Each guest will be provided a keepsake glass for their tastings experience.

The Lighting of the Doves and the opening of The Ice Rink At The Woodlands Town Center are two events that represent the holiday seasons arrival in The Woodlands. 

The Ice Rink is set to open on November 20 at 2005 Lake Robins Drive, The Woodlands.  The 21,000-square-foot facility offers ice skating with lighting and state-of-the-art music. Guests can take a break at any time and enjoy a hot chocolate and snacks from the concessions.

Get in the Halloween spirit with a family movie night at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. On Friday, October 23 at 7:30 p.m., a showing of Monsters, Inc. will be displayed on the 3 large LED screens.

Families are encouraged to attend the event in costumes for a digital costume parade. Pumpkins will be provided for families to take home while supplies last.
