Good Luck for a Great School Year to all Harper's Preserve Students!

Residents in the city of Magnolia and its surrounding areas will soon be able to tune into a new radio station, which will be broadcast from within the community.

After three years of planning behind the scenes, Thomas Conley and his wife Cheryl are set to launch KYBY-LP 103.5 FM Backyard Radio Oct. 15, 2014 with segments featuring music, local news, high school sports, education, entertainment and Sunday church services. The duo founded the nonprofit radio station in 2008 with an AM show to alert The Woodlands community about emergencies and natural disasters.

The Westin is will open its fifth Houston area hotel in The Woodlands, according to The Woodlands Development Company.

The 302-room hotel will overlook The Woodlands Waterway, feature 15,000 squar feet of meeting space, an outdoor pool, a workout studio, a business center, a 150-seat restaurant, lobby bar and a second-level pool deck that connects to the fountains at Waterway Square, according to The Woodlands Development Company.

Harper's Preserve residents are invited for an evening of fun to close out summer at the West Village Recreation Center on Saturday, August 30th from 5 to 8 pm. This event is exclusively for Harper's Preserve residents and will feature a live cover band which includes Real Life Real Music's Kyle Hutton.

Wake up early on Friday July 4, 2014, put on your red, white and blue and get a prime viewing spot for the exciting South County Fourth of July Parade. The 1.3-mile parade begins and ends at The Woodlands United Methodist Church, and this year’s theme is “The Lone Star - Brightest of Them all.” The parade begins at 9 a.m., with marching bands, fire engines, clowns, horses and many exciting commercial floats. A tent will be set up in front of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion for senior citizens and the physically challenged to obtain relief from the summer heat.
