Montgomery County Sugar Plum Market this Weekend
This Saturday, Harper's Preserve residents can knock out some of their holiday shopping at the Montgomery County Sugar Plum Market. Saturday, December 1st from 9 am to 5 pm, the market will be held at the Lone Star Convention Center at 9055 Airport Road in Conroe.
The market will feature more than 100 merchants selling specialty holiday decor, home accessories, women and children's boutique clothing, gourmet foods, candles, jewelry and much more. The event is FREE!
The Ice Rink in The Woodlands Now Open for the Holidays
Harper's Preserve can enjoy the Ice Rink at the Woodlands Town Center, which is now open daily for the holidays. Located at the corner of Lake Robbins Drive and Six Pines Drive in Town Center between Market Street and Tinseltown Theater, the Ice Rink in open daily through January 21, 2013:
Monday - Thursday, 3 pm to 9 pm
Friday, 3 pm to 11 pm
Saturday, 10 am to 11 pm
Sunday, Noon to 7 pm
Prices are (includes $2.50 skate rental):
Saturday - Sunday
$10.50 for 2 hour skate session
$6 for 2 hour skate session for children 5 and under
17th Annual Children's Festival
Harper's Preserve residents get ready to dance, bop, hop, jam and hustle your way to The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion’s 17th Annual Children’s Festival. Festival hours are Sat., Nov. 10 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sun., Nov. 11 from noon to 5 p.m.
Admission is $8 per person in advance or $10 per person at the door. Children under 2 are admitted free of charge. The daily admission fee includes every show and activity, so parents don’t spend the day dealing with tickets, tokens or endless lines.

Feast of Artisans Farmers' Market extended into December
Summer’s heat can be brutal for vegetable growers. However, the mild temperatures of fall provide excellent conditions and local farmers realize a bountiful harvest of flavorful vegetables well into December. To allow shoppers to take advantage of the area’s growing season, The Woodlands Mall has extended the Feast of Artisans Farmers’ Market. The market will be held every Wednesday through December 19.
