RodeoHouston Lineup Announced
With musical acts ranging from a 16-year-old heartthrob to a classic rock band, this year’s lineup offers entertainment for everyone from teenagers to baby boomers.
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™ has announced 25 performers are set to take the stage at RODEOHOUSTON, Feb. 25 – March 17. Tickets go on sale Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at 10 a.m., at www.rodeohouston.com, all Ticketmaster locations (excluding the Reliant Park Box office until Monday, Jan. 14) and by phone at 1.800.726.1313.
New Sections, Amenities in Harper's Preserve
A new section is now open in Harper’s Preserve, the new gated, master-planned community located in The Woodlands/Conroe area.
Horsepen Bend and Harper's Green neighborhoods have opened up new 55’, 65’ and 70’ homesites located on the north side of Harper’s West Village.
This new section offers homebuyers something truly unique and special. The focal point of the section is a pocket park situated in the center of the section’s main boulevard, Horsepen Bend. This thoughtfully-planned pedestrian park offers an informal area for play, picnicing and neighborhood gatherings.
YMCA to Host Youth Basketball Skill Competition
The Houston Rockets and YMCA of Greater Houston present Dribble, Dish & Swish, an exciting fitness and basketball skills competition for boys and girls, ages 7 - 12.
Youth will compete in a timed competition of dribbling, passing and shooting skills/technique. Qualifying participants will advance to compete at an area challenge at the Toyota Center in February.
The Woodlands Mall Extends Hours for Holiday Shopping
Harper's Preserve residents who need more time to shop for those last minute holiday gifts are in luck! The Woodlands Mall has extended hours on busy shopping days during the holidays.
The extended hour schedule* for the shopping center, also posted on www.thewoodlandsmall.com, is:
• Monday, December 10 to Friday, December 14: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Saturday, December 15: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Sunday, December 16: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Monday, December 17 to Friday, December 21: 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
New photos of ExxonMobil campus show construction progress
Work is progressing on the 385-acre ExxonMobil campus under construction just south of The Woodlands in Spring. Photos by commercial photographer Don Hoffman are now available online that depict several structures under construction, as well as roadways being cut through the campus.
