WOW! Science Camp Offers Hands-On Learning

The Wonders of the Woodlands (WOW!) Science Camp has been serving children in The Woodlands and surrounding areas since the mid-1990s. Founded by Barbara Cargill, the camp was established to bring summer enrichment and hands-on learning activities to children ages 3 to fourth grade.

Held at The Woodlands United Methodist Church, this years camp will host approximately 900 students compared to previous 1,100 in order to better observe COVID-19 safety protocols.

Market Street Hosts Spring Concert Series

Market Street in The Woodlands has released their Spring Concert Series featuring Top 40, jazz, Latin, country, cover favorites and more. Concerts will be held every Thursday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. from April 8 through May 27.

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion has been bringing high-quality performing arts to the community of The Woodlands since 1990. Like many other business, the venue has encountered an unprecedented year where live entertainment came to a halt. 

The Woodlands Marathon’s New Course Will Limit Road Closures

Runners will be taking to The Woodlands this weekend for The Woodlands Marathon. The new course and format for the full and half-marathon races will have fewer road closures and traffic impact than in years past.

The marathon, half-marathon and 10K race will take place on March 6 with a staggered start. Traffic will be impacted from 6:45 a.m when the elite runners take off until the scheduled finish at 1:45 p.m.
