Oak Ridge High Student Wins Dr. Pepper Tuition Giveaway

Dr. Pepper has chosen Oak Ridge High’s, Destiny Alfred, as one of the grand-prize recipients of their amazing Tuition Giveaway! Destiny plans to attend Texas Woman’s University to pursue her dreams of becoming a Cardiothoracic Surgeon. She wants to help others because she has had two open-heart surgeries and credits her life to the doctors who performed them.
 

Harper's Preserve Residents Usher in Holiday Fun

The weather was perfect for the annual Santa Stop at Harper’s Preserve in the Pool Barn from 1 to 4 pm. The Christmas spirit was in the air while Christmas songs were played and Santa Claus posed for photos. Free keepsake photos with Santa were available along with letters to Santa and a craft station. Kids of all ages enjoyed the gingerbread man magnet craft as well as an ornament craft. Grizzaffi Coffee joined in on the fun providing coffee and hot chocolate, as well as delicious cookies. J. Patrick and D.R. Horton generously donated gifts for the door prizes at the event.

Save the Date: Conroe ISD’s Holly Jolly Jingle

Join Conroe ISD in their free holiday event, Holly Jolly Jingle on Thursday, December 5 from 6 p.m. through 8:30 p.m. This event is a favorite Conroe ISD tradition that features “orchestras and student musicians from across the district.” Attendees from past events enjoyed pre-concert entertainment from musical students throughout Conroe ISD.
