Harper's Preserve hosted a complimentary continuing education class, Contracts, taught by Rob Cook, on Tuesday, August 30th in the Gehan Homes model home for area Realtors.
 
Agents enjoyed breakfast, class and a chance to win door prizes compliments of the builders in Harper's Preserve: Ashton Woods, Drees Custom Homes, Chesmar Homes, Gehan Homes, Highland Homes, J. Patrick Homes, and Plantation Homes. Lunch was served in the Plantation Homes model home.

Starbucks has recognized baristas and their beverage artistry through Barista Championships in Europe and across the China Asia Pacific region for the past few years. In 2015, for the first time, Starbucks did the same in America, introducing the U.S. Barista Championships.

A number of retailers and commercial projects are set to open near the Grand Parkway in the next year. The Market at Springwoods Village shopping center in the Springwoods Village master-planned community has announced nine tenants, including Torchy’s Tacos, Cold Stone Creamery and Tarka Indian Kitchen with Kroger as the anchor store. Construction is expected to be finished in late 2017. Meanwhile, Grand Parkway Marketplace at Stuebner Airline Road is set to open in March with Target as the anchor.

The Woodlands Craft Beer & Music Festival is the event of the summer, showcasing the area’s best music and promoting over 40 breweries, with promotional samples of over 80 different craft beers from around Texas and the rest of the world. The event takes place Saturday September 3rd, 2 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.  For more information, visit here.

Two local non-pro organizations will team up for a food fair in The Woodlands on August 27th The event will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on at Woodforest Stadium, 19115 David Memorial Drive, in Shenandoah. No pre-registration or prerequisites are required. Food insecure families will be able to collect 150-200 lbs. of free food at an upcoming event. The Montgomery County Food Bank in partnership with the Junior League of the Woodlands is sponsoring the fair.
