YMCA Offers Spring Break Fun

The YMCA is open to the Harper's Preserve/Woodlands area community during Spring Break week and the schedule is filled with a variety of free activities for all ages. Load up the children and head over to the YMCA for Spring Break Staycation. Your Passport to Free Family Fun includes family fitness classes, ZumbaTomic for kids, open swim, open gym, family adventure day, movie under the stars, moonwalk, climbing wall, family campout, summer job fair, Midnight March Madness and much more.

Hummingbird lecture by noted author and nature photographer

Mark Klym, coordinator of Texas Hummingbird Roundup and co-author of "Hummingbirds of Texas," shares the delight of gardening for hummingbirds at "Where Have All the Hummingbirds Gone?," at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at McCullough Junior High School, 3800 S. Panther Creek Drive, The Woodlands.

By mid-March hummingbirds, on their northern migration, start appearing in our area to rest and refuel. In addition to the often-sighted ruby-throated hummingbird, many lesser known species also visit East Texas landscapes.

Grand Texas theme park targeted to open in March 2015

The Community Chamber of Commerce of East Montgomery County confirmed that the East Montgomery County Improvement District board received project information from Grand Texas Theme Park representatives Thursday, February 14th, stating that the closure on the property under contract in East Montgomery County, is expected to take place as soon as April 30th.

Chamber Administrative Assistant and Webmaster, Rhonda Behnken, expressed her excitement with the new development coming to the area.

Harper's Preserve Announces Facebook Incentive Program

Harper's Preserve is encouraging new home buyers and area Real Estate agents to "like" the Harper's Preserve Facebook page with a new incentive program.

The Woodlands Marathon Unveils New Course this Year

In an effort to lessen the traffic impacts to the community and improve the safety of all participants and spectators, The Woodlands Marathon Management, LLC is excited to announce significant changes to its course for both the Fidelity Investments The Woodlands Marathon and St. Luke’s The Woodlands Half Marathon, to be held Saturday, March 2.
