Woodlands Waterway Art Festival Goes Virtual
Did you know that the Woodlands Waterway Art Festival was named one of the top five art festivals in the world? The Woodlands has hosted the festival for the past 15 years at Town Park. Over 200 selected artists line up booths along The Woodlands Waterway in April.
This year, due to COVID-19, the festival was postponed and has recently chosen to host a free online festival Oct. 17-18. Guests will be able to engage with the 200 artists online booths. Viewers will be able to watch musical performances, follow hands-on children’s activities, and engage in informative artist panels.

Free Concert Series Returns to The Woodlands Waterway
Step out for an evening of outdoor music and entertainment! The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreations has brought back Waterway Nights to The Woodlands. This free concert series, sponsored by The Howard Hughes Corporations, begins Thursday, August 20 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at 31 Waterway Square Place.
Throw you lawn chairs and blankets in the car and pack you coolers (no glass) and picnic baskets for a family fun evening of live music. Choose one or all of the following genres:

Shadow Bend YMCA Offers A Virtual Learning Center
Virtual school is back in session leaving many working parents searching for assistance. The guidelines for virtual learning are much more rigid than when schools abruptly ended in the spring.
In order to fill the gap, the YMCA of Greater Houston announced the opening of select Y Learning Centers. The safe and structured environment provides certified teaching staff to assist students with their individual virtual learning experience. Learning Centers will follow all safety guidelines such as mandatory masks, frequent hand washing and social distancing.
Music Mantra Opens In The Woodlands
Are you interested in getting your child involved in music lessons? Muse Mantra, a music and arts school, recently opened at 3335 College Park Drive, Ste. 500.
The new music school provides lessons online and in-studio for students of all levels.
Experienced instructors offer lessons for piano, guitar, ukulele, violin, cello, drums, voice and music production.

Woodland's Restaurants Gear Up For Houston Restaurant Week
Houston area foodies are preparing to indulge in the upcoming Houston Restaurant Week, the largest annual fundraiser for the Houston Food Bank.
Houston restaurants have been heavily impacted by COVID-19, but many of the participating restaurants are incorporating to-go or curbside services.
The Woodlands area has more than a dozen well known restaurants participating in this years Houston Restaurant Week from August 1 - September 7.
