The Pool Barn was the site of our Halloween Movie Night, held on Saturday, October 27, for residents of Harper’s Preserve. The community-wide event featured the critically acclaimed Disney/Pixar film Coco, which is inspired by Día de los Muertos (“Day of the Dead”). Prior to the screening, kids enjoyed various lawn games and activities, and were invited to participate in a Halloween costume parade. As the sun was setting, residents illuminated the Pool Barn lawn with colored glow sticks. 

Market Street has had quite the make-over lately and a new blow out salon is the newest addition. Drybar, the first blowout salon chain, is set to open a 2,331 square foot location in Market Street in November. The 10-seat bar will be the fourth in Houston area after River Oaks, Uptown and Sugar Land and a planned location in Rice Village and joins blow dry bars Blo Blow Dry Bar and Lavish Salon and Blow Dry Bar in the township.

Harper's Preserve hosted a complimentary continuing education class, Legal Update I, for area Realtors on Thursday, October 18th. The course, taught by Rob Cook, was held in the Drees Custom Homes model home.
 
Agents enjoyed an early breakfast before the class and a complimentary lunch was also served following the class in the Drees Custom Homes model home. 
 

Snooze: an A.M. Eatery announced Oct. 10 that it would be opening a new 4,400-square-foot location at 2415 Research Forest Drive, The Woodlands next summer. The Denver-based breakfast and brunch restaurant will offer a variety of fare including their famous pineapple upside-down pancakes, unique benedicts and creative morning cocktails including mimosas and bloody marys. The new location will boast a “funky vibe” and “eclectic atmosphere” and will feature a spacious, dog-friendly patio, according to the release.
