Market Street is preparing for a throwback to the 1990s with a festival centered around the popular television series “Friends.”
Friends Fest is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 17, from 6-8 p.m. at shops throughout Market Street, and the response has been more than positive, officials said. The reaction has been outstanding. Highlights of the evening will include “Friends Trivia,” which will be held at Levure Bakery, and a “Friends”-inspired workout led by Lululemon instructors in their store. Lululemon will guide participants in various exercises while watching “Friends.”

More than 100 teams will compete for four days for the coveted stuffed dragon at The Woodlands Family YMCA’s 20th annual Dragon Boat Team Challenge at North Shore park from Sept. 27 to 30. The races are organized in heats, with 16 teams racing in one of seven brackets throughout the weekend. Though there aren’t any public activities, the community is welcomed to watch the races that begin at 2 p.m. on Thursday and 8 a.m. the rest of the three days.

Join your neighbors for a frightfully fun evening at the pool barn. We will have a scary movie on the lawn, Halloween games including pumpkin rolling and witches broom limbo, glow necklaces,  popcorn and more!

There will be a costume parade, so be sure to wear your costumes!

The event starts at 5 pm with the movie start time at 6:45 pm.
