Jane Minarovic is leading the efforts to bring a film festival to her hometown of The Woodlands. The first ever Inspire Film Festival will occur February 23 thru 26 on The Woodlands Waterway and Market Street. The festival will show 10 feature-length films and seven short films.

The Woodlands Children’s Museum is hosting their annual Halloween SpookTacular Monster Mash Party. The event is recommended for children ages seven and under and the party will include arts and crafts, games and activities. Festivities will begin at 4 p.m. and admission is $9 for non-members and $7 for children of members. Adult tickets are $1.

Harper's Preserve residents walked and "stomped" over to the West Village Pool Barn for Fright Night in Harper's Preserve sponsored by Sam Yager, Inc, the developer of Harper's Preserve on Saturday, October 22nd from 5pm-9pm.

Resident families and their guests were invited out for a fun night of games, a costume contest and a movie on the lawn. Kids of all ages wore costumes and played fun games such as the pumpkin roll, rubber chicken toss, a hula hoop contest, and a mini-pumpkin on a spoon race.  Every child who participated won a toy prize.

Be sure to mark your calendars for the 21st Annual Children’s Festival at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. The event is 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Saturday, November 12 and 12:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday, November 13. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. The festival will include performances, interactive activities and character meet and greets.
